Emergency Response Team Unit

The Emergency Response Tactical Team (ERT Team) is a unit of highly trained deputies. This unit responds to emergency situations that involve the highest risk to the general public and to a law enforcement officers’ safety. The ERT Team has the ability to rapidly respond to any hostile or volatile situation within the county.

Responsibilities
The ERT Team is charged with the responsibility to effectively handle high-risk situations and to bring them to a positive and safe conclusion.

Objective
The number 1 objective of the ERT Team is to take every precaution necessary to assure the safety and well-being of all parties involved including, innocent victims, police personnel, and the perpetrator(s).
